Observatory Terrace, MILLERS POINT, THE ROCKS, SYDNEY is an early 1800's two-storey terrace house located in the heart of historic Sydney, right opposite the esteemed Langham Hotel and just beneath Observatory Hill with its breathtaking views over Sydney Harbour, S H Erwin art gallery and the Sydney Observatory. It is also only a 5 minute walk to the central business district, famous Circular Quay and Rocks Districts with renowned weekend markets and is surrounded by Sydney's best restaurants, cafes, wine bars, clubs and pubs.

This fabulous Bohemian house is known as Observatory Terrace.

The entrance to Observatory Terrace has been captured by many an artist. It sits under the cool shadows of a 180 year old Moreton Bay Fig tree, on the original steps leading up to the Hill. The house was home to the Astronomer of Sydney in the mid 1800s and is located within the Carlson Terrace area. In summer the cool shade is offered from the Heritage listed Moreton Bay Fig adjacent to Agar Steps next to the tennis court. Have a cool drink and watch the Ferries sail by.

The Terrace consists of a well equipped kitchen, separate dining and lounge room which has a smart flat-screen television and DVD player.

The bedroom has a quality queen size bed and a balcony overlooking the tennis court managed by The Langham Hotel and available for hire. The second bedroom has a single bed and one king single bed. The bathroom is accessible via the second bedroom. It has stunning, original polished floor boards throughout. All the stairs are original and therefore quite narrow and steep, not really suitable for the less mobile.

The house is ideal for a single person, couple or family of four. Children are welcome to stay, however the standard of furnishing is high and any breakage beyond normal adult wear and tear would need to be accounted for. For an amazing stay in the heart of the history of Sydney, yet with all modern conveniences on your doorstep you cant go past Observatory Terrace.

Sydney City The Rocks

Very seldom does a place this close to the city 150m happen to be so well placed in a historical centre of a major city.

Westpac Headquarters along with many other major financial and business are located just 150 metres away. With two railway stations within 300 metres Wynyard and Circular Quay and of course the ferries also at Circular Quay car transport is certainly not necessary. Both main shipping terminals Barrangaroo and Circular Quay are within a few hundred metres from Agar Steps.

Whether it be a ferry to the beach at Manly or a business deal happening in the city, this will please either or indeed why not combine business and pleasure.

Not only are there the Historic Pubs, the Lord Nelson micro brewery and of course The Hero of Waterloo known locally as "The Hero" with its attendant ghoul. But of course the renown Fish at The Rocks and Mister Chows Chinese reastaurant 50 metres away.must book at these.

Watch the stars at the Observatory then walk around old Sydney to The Bridge.
